Heathrow formed a collaborative and strategic partnership with local colleges and universities to achieve its ambition to leave a legacy for the wider industry to benefit from. The Partnership was formed with local FE and HE partners, including: West Thames College, Harrow and Uxbridge College, West London College, Windsor Forest Colleges Group, Brooklands College, Brunel University, University of West London and Buckinghamshire New University. The aims of the Skills Partnership are to meet the skills needs of Heathrow today, including supply chain and commercial partners, to build a pipeline of future talent and skills and to address barriers to training and employment. As a result of the partnership, Heathrow will be able to build a skills legacy by co-creating solutions to the skills gap and trailing them with a range of employers, helping to prepare and develop future workforces. Ultimately, all learners within the Skills Partnership, whether young or adult, gains the skills, qualifications and experiences needed to achieve fulfilling employment and careers, thereby contributing to economic growth.
