We are in unprecedented times. The Heathrow Employment & Skills Academy are here to continue to maintain a high level of service with our partners, stakeholders and customers.

Our teams are hard at work making sure we continue to deliver our services, where possible, to the highest standards; despite the challenges we are all facing.

We are actively monitoring and reacting to the situation, working with our service partners to minimise disruption as much as possible for the people who rely on us. Our key priority is safety and wellbeing. All our colleagues have been strongly encouraged to work from home and we are further encouraging everyone to follow the recommended guidelines provided by Public Health England and Government.

With services where we would normally deliver face to face interactions, we have adapted different ways of working to ensure we can still support our local communities during this time. These services include:

Community function
Our Community Team are continuing to accept referrals and work individually with our candidates, offering Information & Guidance as appropriate. Our team will continue to signpost candidates to further training, support and to the Job Brokerage Team.

Job Brokerage
Our Job Brokerage Team are continuing to support candidates through the skills-matching process through enhanced screening via telephone and virtual calls in preparation for roles at Heathrow.

Pre-Employment Training
We are continuing to deliver our training through a virtual environment. Our Training Team are delivering a non-accredited course, which enables us to still provide candidates employability skills, bespoke support with CVs and interview techniques in preparation for opportunities at Heathrow.

We believe that continuing to deliver our services to build a pipeline of talent is essential over the coming months. We will begin to recover, and when the time is right to mobilise, we want to ensure we are ready to support our Heathrow businesses through the additional challenges associated with employment and development of people in an airport environment.

Throughout this time, we are continuing to work closely to engage our Heathrow partners on topics such as Engagement, Health and Wellbeing, ER related matters and responsible employment practices.

Please note for the foreseeable future the Heathrow Employment & Skills Academy building will be closed to the public.

Thank you for your continued support and if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.
