When you register with us to apply for job opportunities or use our contact forms we may collect information to identify you as an individual including, but not limited to;

How will the Academy use the information it collects about me?

We will use your personal data for a number of purposes, including the following:

Provide you with services such as recruitment or Apprenticeship delivery. Legitimate Interest or where you have provided your Consent We do this on the basis of ‘Legitimate Interest’ or where you have provided your Consent to us. This means that we have a genuine reason to collect specific data about you in order for us to carry out our activities, such as recruitment services or Apprenticeship delivery.
To send you communications on the Academy offer, case studies and information on job opportunities. Consent We have a legitimate business interest for your personal data to be used for these specific purposes. For example, this enables us to inform you about the latest job opportunities or send out case studies on individuals who have found work through the Academy. There is the option to ‘unsubscribe’ to these communications at any time.
To send you feedback requests on our services Legitimate Interest We have a legitimate business interest to gain anonymous feedback on how we are delivering our services and any improvements that could be made.  Such communications are never personalised nor is there a requirement to respond.
Sharing data with employers for recruitment processing and interview selection Consent We will share your application with the employer you have applied for a role with, if selected for interview. Please manage your consent preferences through your account settings.

We seek to ensure that our information collection and processing is always proportionate. We will notify you of any changes to information we collect or to the purposes for which we collect and process it.

No automated decisions are made affecting your personal data.

The Academy may collect details of your gender and ethnic origin for the purposes of statistical analysis to monitor our diversity engagement with local minority communities and to ensure equal opportunities. The information you provide will be collated and anonymised and not used to identify you individually.

Your information may be handled and may be used by the following trusted third party recipients in order to deliver our services and provide you with updates or more information:

  • Suppliers who manage/host our database
  • Suppliers who deliver our apprenticeship scheme
  • Suppliers who provide recruitment support to us
  • Third parties who you may have applied for a role with via the Academy

We will not transfer or disclose your personal information, other than as identified in this Privacy Notice, to our trusted third party suppliers, to the police, tribunals, courts, regulators, or other authorities to assist them with their investigations or requests or for us to report security incidents or suspected or actual unlawful acts and/or as may be otherwise required by law. Your information is processed only in the UK and is not moved or transferred overseas.

How long will The Academy keep my information?

For individuals who have been trained or placed into employment via the Academy, your information will be retained for a reasonable period, currently 6 years.

For all other individuals, your information will be retained for 2 years, unless you provide consent for this to be extended.

Your information will be retained for a reasonable period, currently 6 years. Your information will be retained in a secure environment and access to it will be restricted according to the ‘need to know’ principle.
