About The Role

Vanderlande are seeking a Graduate Project Manager to join their team at Heathrow Airport. As a Graduate Project Manager, your primary responsibility is to support and coordinate activities related to innovation, execution and delivery of projects for Vanderlande. You will assist in managing multiple projects, both digital and physical, and report directly to the Strategy and Innovation Manager. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain Project Management experience in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment while collaborating with internal project team members, including managers, project engineers, product managers, sales engineers, Research & Development (R&D), high-level controls teams, IT, and procurement, as well as external stakeholders such as customers and subcontractors.

In this role, you will conduct project management activities and act as a point of contact for your assigned projects. Your goal will be to achieve optimal project outcomes for both Vanderlande and our customers, with careful attention to planning, quality, and cost factors. You will assist in the day-to-day management, planning, and execution of projects and/or products.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing digital and physical innovation trials and proof-of-concepts.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Track, communicate and report out financial statuses of your projects.
  • Monitor innovation trials, metrics and progress, ultimately reporting out results to senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a supporting point of contact for operational and technical matters, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure alignment of processes and standards with relevant teams at Vanderlande.
  • Support adherence to on-site health, safety, and environmental compliance.

About You

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or IT.
  • A passion for Project Management.
  • Interest in working within matrix organisations with hierarchical and functional reporting structures.
  • Willingness to learn in multicultural environments with diverse maturity levels.
  • Focus on both qualitative and quantitative operational performance.
  • Interest in technology, automated handling systems, capital goods, or system integration.
