About The Role

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To learn about and assist all commercial and operational departments of Singapore Airlines’ UK business, such as Marketing, Sales, Passenger Handling, Support Services and Traffic Operations. 
Following a successful period of understanding, you will be placed on a longer-term position within a Sales or Marketing role at the Chiswick office.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Supporting managers and colleagues with everyday tasks in each department assigned to. Exact responsibilities will vary with each placement
  • Building a comprehensive knowledge of how the company operates on both a departmental and overall level, its strategy and the industry as a whole
  • Carrying out regular special projects for the department being worked in. For example, this might include research, data analysis, reviewing a process or organising an event/activity
  • Analysing sales data from travel agent partners and the company website
  • Competitor analysis
  • Fares analysis
  • Coordinating Sales & Marketing events
  • Attending and participating in local management meetings
  • Shadowing and learning from local managers
  • Developing performance improvement suggestions for each department
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues, management and commercial partners
  • Attending relevant training in the UK and Singapore
  • Learning how to use relevant software tools

About You

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
 
  • Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject
  • 0–2 years of professional experience (ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively
  • Clear, professional and adaptable when speaking, listening or writing
  • Confident presentation skills with the ability to prepare and deliver engaging content
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and general Office software
  • Adaptable and quick to learn in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong teamwork, time management, and a proactive approach to tasks
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to conduct insightful research and analysis
  • Desirable: Experience in Sales, Marketing, Commercial, or Operational roles (e.g., internships, part-time work, placements)
  • Desirable: Full driving licence

  • Technical / Professional Skills - demonstrates technical or specialist knowledge and skills related to the role. Makes decisions and solves problems based on sound technical knowledge. Has thorough grasp of relevant services, systems and procedures
