About The Role

As a Team Administrator in the Fire Services Team, you will provide a fully comprehensive administrative service to functional teams at all levels, enabling the successful delivery of the team’s priorities. You will organise meetings and events, prepare documentation, manage records, and support senior managers with governance requirements. From raising purchase orders to maintaining effective admin systems, you will be central to helping the team run smoothly and efficiently.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of business software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internal systems and other business tools
  • Awareness of administrative processes including document management, reporting and purchase order systems

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a demanding workload
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to take clear and accurate minutes and produce high-quality documentation
  • Confident user of digital tools and able to support colleagues in adopting them
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role within a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders including managers, colleagues and external suppliers
  • Experience using digital systems for reporting, record-keeping or purchase orders is an advantage

Additional Requirement

  • A full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points is essential for this role
