Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyor

About The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering maintenance and capital projects across the major aviation site Heathrow Airport. You will be responsible for managing project costs, contracts, procurement activities, and commercial risks to ensure successful project delivery. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you'll provide commercial expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to final account. You'll also support and mentor junior colleagues, helping to build capability across the team while contributing to the successful delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects.

About You

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
MRICS or CICES accreditation is desirable.
Significant experience within civil engineering, aviation, rail, defence, or other safety-critical sectors.
Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, particularly Term Service Contracts.
Experienced in cost estimation, budgeting, financial control, and final account management.
Skilled in contract administration, commercial management, and procurement processes.
Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and project risks.
Proficient in cost management software such as Oracle and the Microsoft Office suite.
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Passionate about mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members.
Commercially aware, proactive, and focused on delivering value and project success.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
